Thanks to the
‘Friends of The Adventure Festival’
for making it a reality…
It all begins with an idea. Then by sharing the idea with companies and people who instantly understand the vision and provide their unwavering support… it can become a reality. We are so enormously grateful to these companies and individuals who have stood with us and helped to bring the festival to you, for you!
A festival of this kind is not a small project and we are always hoping to engage more companies as friends, sponsors and partners to collaborate with us.
If you are interested to hear more, please email us. We would LOVE to hear from you.
De Brede Planker (DBP Adventures) is a dedicated travel agency that loves the water and the mountains. Their ski trips are something out of the ordinary, offering catski, heliski and randonee, where the lifts have been dropped in favor of other forms of transport. In the summer, they take advantage of the mountain on mountain bikes. They also have a great love for the water and offer the best surf and kitesurf locations around the world. We are so lucky to have them on board with The Adventure Festival and supporting our community. They are bringing a fun element to the festival with beach games, van life and travel inspiration for you.
GreenKayak is an environmental organization that engages people in the fight against pollution in the sea. Everyone is invited to paddle their kayaks for free under two simple conditions - use your time in a GreenKayak to collect waste and share the experience on social media #GreenKayak. We are supporting each others initiatives and The Adventure Festival is proud to be associated with such an important clean-up mission!
In 1128, the lords of Grimbergen asked Norbert van Xanten, founder of the Premonstratensian Order (or Norbertine Order), to build a monastery, and they got their wish fulfilled. Shortly after, in the same year, Grimbergen Abbey's monks began brewing a local beer. Now all these years later, we get to enjoy it at The Adventure Festival! Grimbergen will be at Grill Huts outdoor cooking area giving you sampling and tasting sessions of this delicious beer.
Accommodation ain’t cheap but our sponsors Home Exchange make sure we are always housed and comfortable and can save much needed funds with making sure we always have somewhere to stay in the heart of Copenhagen. Invaluable!

We are super grateful to Nordisk for sponsoring us some beautiful cotton tents for the weekend. You never know what the weather might do in Copenhagen in May so they’ve got us covered! Come rain or shine, you will have shade or shelter… thank you, Nordisk!
The students at Paul Petersen Institute are our trusty volunteers at the festival, assisting with kayaking and climbing demos and more. They are hosting a great panel session on Youth in Nature on Sunday 7th morning so don’t miss that on the programme. A group of their students is using The Adventure Festival as a project topic for one of their subjects and they made a cool video on it:
Based in Copenhagen, Denmark, the World Explorers Collective aims to connect people to share their dreams, but also enable those who have dreams to make them come true. Travelers who return home can share the beauty of the world and its people, and through that create more tolerance in society. By funding expeditions, the World Explorers Collective helps to create a wider community where explorers can help and support each other. To inspire people even more, the World Explorers Collective hosts the ‘Art of Adventuring’ podcast, where successful and inspiring explorers – from Olympic medalists, Polar explorers, to Everest summiteers and more – share their motivations, dreams, fears and lessons, while being in the most extreme places in the world. Visit www.worldexplorerscollective.com to learn more.
“The Adventure Festival has been extremely professional to work with, as well as really nice team behind this great outdoor initiative.
We have really been enjoying the partnership for this first festival, and will be looking very much forward to continue this fruitful collaboration.
Grimbergen had the chance to meet an audience at The Adventure Festival that we do not normally have a chance to meet and introduce our product to an even wider audience which proved of very high value to us.”
